Hey Fred, the phonetic transcription is /soʊp/. I think I heard you pronounce the "s" as a "sh", so be careful about that. Also the "oʊ" is just how we say the "o" in English. We add a tiny "u" sound after it. But if you pronounce it /sop/ it is perfectly understandable. You can here it pronounced here.

Yes, the "th" sound does not exist in Spanish and neither does the English "r" sound. I understand that is very difficult. We have a lesson teaching the "th" sound and the "R" sound. Maybe we need a lesson teaching how to pronounce them both together.
